Happy Days.....

We had such a relaxing time on our labor day getaway. It was about 100 degrees every day which prompted alot of indoor activity. We slept, we ate yummy food, we watched TV, we swam. We relaxed ALOT!! The girls had so much fun together. Edie loves her cousins Percy and Agnes. On our last day there I captured these shots of all the girls after their morning playtime......ahhhhhh.....the life........

Edie and I love spending time at Polly and Duane's house. Polly is a great cook. She is constantly feeding me and we have many impromptu wine gatherings where Edie, Percy and Agnes get a chance to play.

Every time I have dinner there, whether it's just the three of us or a planned dinner party, it is always effortlessly lavish and perfectly served. I always compliment Polly on her inventive and delicious menus and Duane on his ability to always impress with the presentation. Everything is always served on a platter with delicate little individual glasses or serving dishes. So decadent.

So it is only fitting that Percy and Agnes have their water dish atop a special platter that Duane bought (of course) just for this purpose.

So decadent, indeed......

Tree Trimming Party

Every year Polly and Duane have their annual tree trimming party. Edie doesn't have her holiday outfit yet so off we went in her quilted patent leather coat with white fur trim. She wore a blue bell ornament on her collar for extra holiday spirit. And boy....did she have a BALL!!

And here's the total ham of the night.....Little Edie. She pee'd, she pooped, she tried to eat everyone's food, she stole Agnes' toys, she harassed Percy but she sure does make one heck of a cute ornament doesn't she??

I don't have a picture of the finished tree to show you. My bad. Partly because the battery was low and partly because all the ones I took came out really blurry. Too much champagne makes for not-so-good-at-operating-camera...... I'll be sure to take one soon tho. You must see this tree done. "It is the best tree ever" according to Duane. I totally agree...... These two definitely know their way around a Christmas tree.

Damn You Paparazzi!

Meet Agnes. Agnes is Percy's sister. She also belongs to Polly & Duane. Agnes has an issue with the camera. I try and try but I can't get a good picture of her face. So for now you get her big Mickey Mouse ears. Agnes is a female chihuahua about 1 1/2 years old. She was rescued on a whim one day when Polly heard a little voice calling from a local shelter. Polly stopped by and there was Agnes. She was jumping up and down BOING.....BOING....BOING......and made us laugh with her cute personality. Polly swooped her up and that was that. Agnes has brought Percy out of her shell a bit and Percy keeps Agnes mellow. In the short time I've known Agnes I have come to find that girlfriend has a licking fetish. She has some strange fascination with licking my cleavage. But she's not picky. If she's not close to the cleave she'll lick any other body part that is showing skin. Little Edie can't live without Agnes. The two of them have become fast friends. On their walks, they walk in complete tandem and Edie nips at Agnes' ear. So cute....

My favorite is when Duane firmly calls their names. AGNES! EDITH! PERCY! They sound like a bunch of old ladies. Agnes & Edie pine for each other and Polly and I often report how when we pass each others doors they make a run for it or put the brakes on, dig their little heels into the ground and look back with sad puppy eyes. Percy steers clear. She lets the two of them play, run and fight over toys. Little Edie still tries tho. She's determined to get Percy to join in on the fun.
